Project 366 2020 Week 42

Project 366 2020 Week 42

Project 366 2020 Week 42 Day 285-291 – another week, and this one spent mostly full of a heavy head cold.  I’d managed to hold it off for the best part of a month though.

Sunday 11th October  – Day 285

Project 366 2020 Week 42

My friend and I had planned on going for a long walk today, but given her Dad’s passing, we just spent time together chatting and planning things that will need to be sorted out in the next couple of weeks.

When I got home my son showed me some of the Lego projects he’d built whilst I was away.  He’d made some rocket launchers and a really impressive boat.

Monday 12th October – Day 286

Project 366 2020 Week 42

That’s me back in tunic dresses and long boots til Spring then.  Roll on March.  I’ve got a head cold brewing, I hate colds.

Tuesday 13th October – Day 287

Project 366 2020 Week 42

It’s hard to get inspiration for photos at this time of year, dull grey and wet days aren’t so much fun.  But I did spot this little one hanging around in the garden as I tried to take dome raindrop photos.

Wednesday 14th October – Day 288

Project 366 2020 Week 42

I spent the day with my oldest friend at The Nature Discovery Centre at Thatcham.  The weather couldn’t have been any better.  We sat outside chatting over our drinks for ages and walked around the reserve, before having to head back home.

My cold behaved itself during the day but my nose was streaming by the time I went to bed.

Thursday 15th October – Day 289

Project 366 2020 Week 42

I felt like death warmed up all day, and was counting down the hours until work and school were done and I could have a bath and go to bed.  The OH was around after school so I left him in charge after dinner and was in bed before my son.

Friday 16th October – Day 290

Project 366 2020 Week 42

I was feeling better than yesterday but given half a chance I’d have curled up on the sofa with Paddington rather than going to work.  Thankfully we haven’t got to be up early tomorrow.

Saturday 17th October – Day 291

Lego

You know the world has gone mad when you spend time googling the difference between a Covid cough and a ‘normal’ cough.  I was coughing like mad, but it’s a wet, productive cough so not a Covid cough.  Didn’t make me feel much better tbh.

Anyway, my son enjoyed just being at home and got to build more things with his Lego.

  1. It was so good that you were able to be there for your friend. I’m so sorry about her dad.
I agree, it is so hard to find inspiration to take photos at the moment.
I hope you are feeling better now. Last week I was Googling the difference between coughs too. x

  2. Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling under the weather but I’m glad it wasn’t a covid cough. It’s lovely that you could be there with your friend. Lots of impressive Lego building going on this week – I’m impressed ! 🙂

  3. Sorry to hear you haven’t been well! Glad it wasn’t covid though.

Paddington looks so cosy in that picture

  4. Sorry you’re not feeling well. Glad you were able to get together with your friends. Your son’s lego pieces are really good. N goes through phases with his, he’s not played with it for a while.

  5. Sorry you have been feeling rubbish. I hope you get rid of it before half term. There’s so much going round but I can relate to the googling of the cough! I also really lack inspiration with the photos this time of year too!

  6. Glad you were there for your friend – she has had a tough time lately. I’ve yet to get the long boots out, but I think it might be this coming week – love the tunic dress.

  7. Colds are horrible things. Glad that your OH was able to take over on Thursday and hope you are feeling better now. Lovely to have a day at the Nature Discovery Centre and glad the weather was nice for you. Love the Lego jail. #project366

  8. The lego is coming, the lego is coming, hopefully the boy will be allowed in the house to play with it, as it’ll be February before I get back from Dubai. Yep, I’m googling everything at the moment to try and keep up with symptoms and tiers

  9. Fab Lego creations from Monkey, as always. He is a true master of Lego, so creative. Sorry to hear you were poorly last week, and hope you are on the mend now. Boots and tunics sound like a great combination. I prefer wearing boots, as they are easier on my feet than shoes, which tend to give me blisters.

  10. What great LEGO builds by your son. It’s nice he gets so much enjoyment out of his LEGO, my boys don’t seem to play with it quite so much anymore. Hope you are feeling much better by now 🙂

  11. We have a cold that just keeps going round us all (and led hubby to get a panic test for covid *eye roll*). I should invest in some long boots to keep warm and still wear dresses in winter. #project366

  12. Cool Lego rocket and boots. Well, living in a city where there are all 4 seasons everyday, it’s nice to see how dull grey days look like. The Centre looks beautiful with all the ducks. We’ll all go manic searching on google during the winters because everyone gets sick normally then. Your son’s Lego creations are amazing!

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
