Week 11 of PODcast‘s new linky The Alphabet Photography Project! What to pick for K? I was still wracking my brains for inspiration yesterday when Monkey finished at Nursery School. He had a carrier bag full of goodies and some artwork, and a copy of a photograph. There was my K. So my Alphabet Photography Project K is for Knight. I apologise for the quality. We were given a photocopy of a photo, so it’s not the best quality ever.
This is half of the photo, what you don’t see is Monkey holding on to one of his friends hands. My brave little Knight needing a bit of reassurance. The photo was taken at Nursery School in March this year, when the children in Nursery and Reception had a Royal Banquet. Monkey borrowed a Knight’s costume from his friend Mr S, he wasn’t that fussed about dressing up, but he agreed in the end. He took Dave the Dragon with him – all good Knights need a dragon after all.
It was lovely to find this photo in Monkey’s bag yesterday, a lasting memory of a day at Nursery School.
This was the before School photo at home!
You can tell by the face that he wasn’t in a particularly Knightly mood can’t you!!

Over 40 and a Mum to One
A Mum with a 13 year old son, enjoying life and having fun as my son travels through school life. We love to get outdoors whenever possible and make the most of the world around us. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.
I love his at-hone photo: if that isn’t the face of a little boy not wanting to do something, I don’t know what is!
Yes, less than impressed!
What a lovely photo! I love it when they bring these things home from nursery and school you see a different side to them don’t you!
Yes, it was lovely to see and the person he was holding hands with was a bit of a surprise too.
Funnily enough my little boy isn’t keen on dressing up much either whereas his big sister can’t get enough of it! Monkey looks very cute 🙂
He has improved recently – loved dressing up as a pirate but wouldn’t consider a superhero!
Aww bless him! My boys were never too keen on dressing up either 🙂 #alphabetphoto
Think it’s a love it or loathe it scenario isn’t it
He does look very cute in the costume! He looks so grown up in your newer photos 🙂
I know – the baby face has totally gone now.
What a lovely surprise to find in his bag. He does look a little unsure 🙂
Yes, not his happiest moment
Lovely photo, my son used to love being a knight and obviously had lots of dragons
We went to see some jousting yesterday and he’s been re-enacting it all day with his knights and horses
My son was keen on being photograph before but now he also give me this look every time I take the cam phone out =P #alphabetphoto
Yes it seems to be a phase they all go through! Think blogging mums suffer more than most.
What a handsome, gallant little knight you have to guard your castle! He looks super in his knight cozzie, and I’ll bet he’d give any meddlesome dragons a run for their money. All the best, Bonny
Thanks – you could well be right.
Great photo, boys just love castles and knight 🙂 #alphabetphoto
they certainly do.
Oh, knight was my other choice. My youngest loves dressing up as a knight and weilding his sword and shield. How lovely to find the photo in the bag. Popping over a bit late for #AlphabetPhoto
Thanks.
Oh bless him Mary, he does look awesome in his knight costume even if he’s not feeling it. That last photo is hilarious, I have a few of those of POD! Thanks for sharing with #alphabetphoto
