Tomorrow I will be meeting friends for the first time. That may not make sense so I’ll explain! Tomorrow I’m meeting 9 other lovely bloggers who I’ve been talking to for almost a year now, 4 of whom I’ve never actually met. Somehow that doesn’t matter. We chat everyday on Facebook, we read each other’s blogs. We laugh together, we cry together, they answer my stupid questions, we listen and we support each other – it’s great.
I’ve posted before about these ladies, and about how they’ve all helped me so much since I started this blog. I owe them all so much, it is going to be great to finally thank some of them face to face.
I met Zoe from My Mummy’s World for the first time back in May, travelled to the London Aquarium with Anna from In the Playroom and seen her a few times since, zoomed around Birmingham Airport (yes, we do know the high life!) with Eileen from ET Speaks from Home and Tina from The Soup Dragon Says. I got to meet Angela from The Life of Spicers at the Pavilion in Bournemouth at the beginning of this month. Meeting friends for the first time has been great. Now I’m getting to meet more!

We are travelling from all over the country and meeting somewhere in the middle! This means I finally get to meet Fiona from Mummy’s Little Stars, Pippa from Red Rose Mummy, Tami from Mummy of Two and Jenny from The Brick Castle. I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to spending a weekend with these guys. I just know that there is going to be a lot of laughter.
Sadly 3 lovely ladies can’t make this wonderful meet-up. Hopefully, I can get to meet Laura from Yummy Mummy Flabby Tummy, Anthea from Blue Bear Wood and Kelly from Writings, Ramblings and Reviews at Britmums next year.
Not only am I meeting friends for the first time, but I’m also having a night away from my son for the first time in 2 and a half years. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t looking forward to that too! Mind you, I think there’ll be a late night to be had, so I’m not going to benefit from a lie-in, in the morning.
Thanks to i heart wines we’ll be able to raise a toast to meeting friends for the first time tomorrow night!
I’m linking this post up with Post, Comment, Love as I also owe Vicky a big thank you. I was her #newbieshowcase back on my birthday in April. How things have grown since those days!

Over 40 and a Mum to One
A Mum with a 13 year old son, enjoying life and having fun as my son travels through school life. We love to get outdoors whenever possible and make the most of the world around us. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.
