Mummy and Me – January 2021

Another year begins and another month where I try to get out from behind my camera and capture moments with my son. We are now firmly back in lockdown with school and work at home and guidance stipulating that we should only leave home for exercise once a day and that that should be within our own town. I fear that these posts will mainly be selfies for the time being, but we are trying to capture a few smiles during weeks that are rather fraught.

Week 1

Our days revolve around walks around the estate (mostly) and just being at home.

Week 2

The days feel as if they are merging into one another, and looking at my photos, the weeks are too!

We did actually walk further than just round our estate this week though and did a circular walk to a local village, but the fields were so muddy and waterlogged.

Week 3

This week we walked over to the next estate which has a nature reserve.  The stream looks like it will overflow soon.

Week 4

It snowed! And it lasted for more than five minutes, it was just what we needed.  Hours spent in our garden and up and down the pavements outside our house rolling massive snowballs.  I ached everywhere afterwards but my son said it was ‘officially the best day he’d had in months.’
