Project 365 2015 Week 11

Joining in with TheBoyAndMe and her linky Project 365. A Photo A Day, Every Day, For A Year!  Project 365 2015 Week 11 Days 67-73.

Sunday 8th March – Day 67

Project 365 2015 Week 11

The Redpeffer gang came down for the day and the sun may have deserted us, but we headed off to Stowe Gardens regardless. Monkey took his Kids Capture the Colour camera with him and spent the time snapping away as you can see.  I checked the camera when we got home and there were some great shots.  When I can find the camera lead (eek!) I think Monkey is going to have his own slot on the blog – so watch out for ‘Monkey Moments’ posts coming in the future.

We had a lovely day and it showed us all hopefully what our Cornish holiday will bring in a few weeks time.  Happy children running off and exploring, having fun together.  Firm friends.  Watch out Coombe Mill we are coming!

Monday 9th March – Day 68

Project 365 2015 Week 11

We started the day with a bit of counting fun before school.  It was swimming report day, so I set off to join the mad 10am queue of mothers. Unfortunately he hasn’t moved up to Stage 2 – so close!  Anyway, we had a good chat after school and have devised a Freddie Fastrac reward chart.  Monkey loves the JCB tractor and has been promised one if he tries really hard to get to Stage 2 in the next block of 10 lessons.  Would it make any difference?

The girls came over for a curry and we put Logo What Am I? to the test – more on that next month.

Tuesday 10th March – Day 69

Project 365 2015 Week 11

Time for some dinosaur fighting apparently whilst Mummy got dressed. I had a full on day writing whilst Monkey was at school then it was off to swimming.  How would he do?  Over the last couple of weeks Monkey will now actually walk round the barrier to the edge of the pool without me – that’s taken a year.  He really did try really hard and I could see lots of kicking and he kept checking I was watching his efforts.  When we got home he got to colour in the first hay bale on his Freddie Fastrac reward chart.  Fingers crossed he can keep it up.

Wednesday 11th March – Day 70

Project 365 2015 Week 11

Got on well at Jado Chi, working on Stance Set and it’s all coming together – Cat, Dragon and Horse – you have to be there!  Session was followed with a cup of Smoky Lapsang Souchong and a cake …. or two, in aid of Red Nose Day.

Monkey had been sent a Trackmaster train set to review, so he was very happy after school!  He played with the set for ages and then he discovered it could be connected to his existing track – cue train tracks all over the living room.  My favourite kind of ‘mess’.

Thursday 12th March – Day 71

Project 365 2015 Week 11

Love being woken up by this face in the morning.  Mummy it’s time to get up! Iona came down for the day, we walking into town and I picked up some supplies for my sewing lesson on Monday.  We chatted away before picking Monkey up from school.  Then Iona and I were sent back to school for a spelling lesson with Mr Monkey, I was top of the class 🙂

Friday 13th March – Day 72
Project 365 2015 Week 11

Red Nose Day and Monkey could wear red to school, so he was a very happy boy as it’s his favourite colour.  He won’t wear face paint, so just a red top for him.  I headed down to London for an evening out with friends – so exciting.  The Royal Albert Hall awaited for our first opera experience with a production of Madam Butterfly.  It was totally amazing.  Had a lovely evening and we managed to get home before midnight – result all round.

Saturday 14th March – Day 73

Project 365 2015 Week 11

We had a lazy morning at home, catching up on missed cuddles from yesterday.  Then it was time to watch the BBC highlights of the qualifying for tomorrow’s Australian Grand Prix.  Ferrari are looking a bit better than last year and Monkey was cheering them on (good boy!).  We then went to his school fayre and Easter egg hunt.  He had a great time, sadly the egg is a very strange colour indeed and I won’t be letting him eat it.  Those in the know think it’s been badly stored 🙁

  1. Love the first photo with Monkey taking pictures – my older 2 love doing that too. Good to see he still enjoys playing with trains, Max should get a lot of use out of his set! I bet Madam Butterfly was amazing.

  2. Oh you glamour puss you! Looking gorgeous for the opera 🙂 My kiddos love getting behind the camera too – bit annoying when they get a better shot 😉

  3. Love that first photo and I was at a definite disadvantage in the school scenario-I feel the teacher may have been slightly biased 🙂

  4. I’ve never been to the Opera and wonder if I would like it but I would definitely love to try it at least once!! Hope you have an amazing time at Coombe Mill!

  5. The first photo is great! Hope you find the lead for the camera 🙂 Glad you had such a lovely evening at the opera x

  6. Love the cheeky ‘it’s time to get up!’ face. Glad to hear you had a good night out in London. How exciting to be going to Coombe Mill soon! I am quite jealous!

  7. I would love to go to the opera one day. Lovely photos as always, he always wears a cheeky smile, wonderful to see x

  8. Glad you enjoyed the opera – I’m not so keen on it, but Madame Butterfly does appeal. Pity about the swimming, but I think sometimes they need to consolidate before they move onwards and upwards. Hopefully, next time he’ll get it.

  9. Looking gorgeous lovely lady, glad you enjoyed your evening out. We got that Thomas set to review too, Eliza and Sebby love it

  10. it is great when you can get them in to a hobby you enjoy, and I have to say they do look at the world different than us and see great things that we don’t.
What a nice week you sound like you have had between friends, swimming and a night out. Looking good in your jacket.

  11. You’re going to have an amazing time at Coombe Mill, and those two will have an epic adventure. If Guy and Clio are around as well then they’ll love to look after them also.

Thanks for linking up to Project 365.

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
