Project 365 2018 Week 48 Days 329 – 335

Sunday 25th November – Day 329

Project 365 2018 Week 48

A peaceful day.  The menfolk spent the day at a model railway exhibition at the NEC and I had a rare day to myself. I was shattered after our London day out, so got some house stuff done and then decided to actually just sit down and watch the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the last of the season.  It’ll actually be the last race I get to watch live now Channel 4 have lost live race coverage.  I just can’t justify the additional costs for the Sky package unfortunately.

Anyway, it was nice to just chill out and the boys had a great day out too.

Monday 26th November – Day 330

Project 365 2018 Week 48

There was a new moon on Monday, which had me humming one of my favourite tunes all day.  One a Duranie, always a Duranie.

Busy morning at work, Monday’s always are, followed by house stuff.

The manic Monday started after school as we rushed into town for my son’s dental appointment.  All went well there.  Quick shop for a few things we needed before dashing home to cook and eat dinner, before getting him out the door to Cubs. Phew!  We just made it.

Tuesday 27th November – Day 331

Project 365 2018 Week 48

Dull grey day and Brewster didn’t move from this spot again all day.  Even though the heating wasn’t on.

Wednesday 28th November – Day 332

Project 365 2018 Week 48

Another dull, grey and wet day.  I’m not feeling November at all.

When I picked my son up from school we headed into town to get his hair cut and pay a cheque into the bank.  Apparently if I used mobile banking it would clear 3 working days earlier than if I actually handed it to a person.  The cashier looked most put out when I said no it’s fine I’m here now.  I don’t have an issue with online banking, but mobile banking, nah, I’ll give that one a miss until I’m forced to.

Once my son was in bed I decided to get ahead with a few elf ideas as Berry the Elf returns on Saturday.  My son and I are away overnight on Friday, I did consider trying to take the elf and everything with us, but it’s too tricky with only one overnight bag.  So, I’m leaving Daddy P with the job of setting everything up before he goes to work in the early hours on Saturday morning.  The control freak in me is already knowing he’ll mess it up.  Time will tell!

Thursday 29th November – Day 333

Project 365 2018 Week 48

I had an entourage on my bed this morning complete with some sort of paper crafting session.  The paper theme followed through to when his best friend arrived before school, and they were flying paper planes around the living room.

I got some baking done this morning, blueberry muffins, some for us and some for the school fayre.

My son was going to his best friend’s house straight from school, so I cracked on with some work, and the last of the Christmas present wrapping.

In the evening a couple of my NCT group came over for a curry and catch up.  We’d been hoping for something a little grander but the plans fell through.  But always lovely to have a laugh with good friends, celebrating nine years with these lovely ladies.

Friday 30th November – Day 334

Project 365 2018 Week 48

Back to blue skies after a miserable few days.  always makes you feel better.

I have quite small fingers and as soon as I get cold my rings get so loose I’m worried about wearing them and losing them.  This ring came free inside a candle and it actually fits me and isn’t loose!  A bit of sparkle to get me through these cold days.

My son and I headed up the motorway after school to spend the night with my best friend. We all went out for dinner, and once my son was asleep the wine flowed and we had a good catch up and a few laughs too.

Saturday 1st December – Day 335

Project 365 2018 Week 48

I hadn’t gone to bed until the early hours and my son hogged the bed and the duvet.  Not much sleep for me.

We Facetimed Daddy P in the morning and he reported hearing some strange noises in the house before he’d gone to work.  Mummy do you think that/s Berry? After lunch we headed back home and discovered that yes, Berry is back.  Not sure I have the energy to think of anything clever for this evening!

Off to see the Christmas Lights switch on in town.

  1. mobile banking I don’t use either. It’s just another app, and just something else to worry about on my phone. How on earth does putting in a cheque work given it’s a physical thing?

  2. Ugh! That is a shame about CH4 losing the race coverage. Sky always have to go and ruin things.
Brewster really loves that spot under the radiator. Bless him.
Welcome back to Berry the elf. We are not having an elf this year. I need a break. lol

  3. I hate being forced to doing everything online, and i’m reisiting as much as i can. The pandas on the veranda have made a comeback but online only, i’m recycling old posts. next year Peter and I said we WILL do the Abu Dhabi grand prix

  4. Just catching up on the uncommented posts, apologies for taking almost a month to leave a comment. I don’t do mobile banking, it doesn’t fill me with confidence. The sky shot with the Moon is beautiful. I’ve never been a Duranie, but I do remember New Moon on Monday. Paper crafting in bed made me smile.
I’m with Elaine on the elf on the shelf business, personally they give me the creeps, but of course, if it makes Monkey happy, then it was worth all the effort. Happy new year, Mary!

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
