Project 365 2021 Week 44

Project 365 2021 Week 44 Day 303 – 309 The week where we said goodbye to October with pumpkins and said hello to November with fireworks.

Sunday 31st October – Day 303

Halloween Pumpkin

Halloween. We decided not to take part in trick or treating again this year. Maybe we’ll go back to it next year.  So instead of having our pumpkin on the kitchen windowsill, we had it in the living room instead.

I had a quiet day at home and the menfolk went up to Gaydon to the Great British Model Railway show.

Monday 1st November – Day 304

Project 365 2021 Week 44

Back to school for my son, and a bit of peace and quiet for me. After I’d finished work I dropped some donations into my son’s old school and headed off for a walk in the sunshine.  Just an hour, walking to our local nature reserve but it felt so good to be outside for a bit.

Tuesday 2nd November – Day 305

Project 365 2021 Week 44

A two cats on my lap moment.  Brewster isn’t much of a lap cat, unlike Fudge who loves nothing more than sitting on my lap in the evening at the moment.  This moment didn’t last long but it was nice while it did.

Wednesday 3rd November – Day 306

Project 365 2021 Week 44

My day off and I’m full of cold thanks to the menfolk of the household generously sharing their germs.

Had my hair done and had a catch up with my bestie.  I’d seen a funeral notice for a lady she had worked with a long time ago.  It’s sad how you lose touch with people and seeing the lady’s photo brought back lots of memories.  A lovely lady.

These two were cuddled up together for ages.   My son made his second batch of blueberry muffins this week, this time at school.  They certainly didn’t look as good as the ones he made here.

Thursday 4th November – Day 307

Project 365 2021 Week 44

I had my end of probation appraisal with my boss.  All good and it was definitely the right decision for me.

After school, my son and I headed into town to pick up a couple of things I need for next week and he had his dental check-up.  All good for another six months. Not so impressed to be driving home in the dark.  Roll on March.

Friday 5th November – Day 308

Project 365 2021 Week 44

Guy Fawkes Night, although the local display isn’t until tomorrow. The blue sky is misleading as it’s really chilly here this morning.  My son has had to walk to school by himself for most of this week and to stop any wobbles, I’ve been walking with him to the main road, he’s just needed a friendly face to see him on his way.

Showing my age with my post today – appointment for a routine mammogram and the new ABBA CD!

Saturday 6th November – Day 309

Orchid

Our local fireworks display takes place tonight and hopefully, that will brighten up what is a really dull and grey day here at the moment.  The only bit of colour is coming from one of my orchids which is flowering again.

  1. Those muffins look really good. N’s quite partial to blueberry muffins at the moment. Your kittens are so cute. Ours are feral so it’s rare we even see them!

  2. hope you enjoyed the firework display, we don’t go anymore, always too cold and too crowded. The cats always look so content and relaxed. Well done to the boy with his baking, they look fab. hope the mammogram results are good for you

  3. Love the pumpkin. The muffins your son made look delicious. Lovely photos with the cats snuggled up together. Hope your cold is better now and glad all went well with your end of probation interview. That orchid is so pretty, what a lovely colour. #project365

  4. We decided against trick or treating again this year due to covid. Your cat pics make me melt, so cute! Congrats on a positive end to your probation period at work. #project365

  5. Those muffins look amazing no wonder he looks so happy with himself. We did not do trick or treat either this year, thankfully we don’t get much footfall down our road. Ahh the cats look very content on your lap. Hope you are feeling better and the cold did not linger so much going around at the moment.

  6. Your pumpkin is great fun! And the muffins look tasty! No wonder your son looks proud, showing them. We never do trick or treating, as Sash gets anxious, if there are strangers at the door, and all that knocking, so we close all the curtains tight. F. looks so grown up now. I know I shouldn’t get surprised, Eddie’s the same, suddenly changing into a young man.
