Woodchester Mansion

Project 365 2022 Week 39

Project 365 2022 Week 39 Day 268 -274  We started the week with a visit to Woodchester Park and Woodchester Mansion and ended at the Great Western Brick Show.

Sunday 25th September – Day 268

Woodchester Mansion

With the forecast looking good we headed off to Woodchester Mansion and Woodchester Park.  We’d seen a feature about the mansion on Countryfile ages ago and it’s been on our ‘must visit’ list ever since.  National Trust members get discounted entry to this gothic mansion that has been left in its uncompleted state.  It’s well worth a visit, as is the parkland it sits in.

Monday 26th September – Day 269

Project 365 2022 Week 39

After work, I dashed over to Milton Keynes to pick up the extra shelves we needed for the Lego storage and also picked up a new collar for Pippi.

Once he’d got his homework done, my son set to work placing some of his collection in place.  We’ve still got a Lego railway running around the living room floor but at least part of the collection is out from under our feet.

Tuesday 27th September – Day 270

Project 365

Time to get my nails done after work and it decided to hammer down with rain just as I got to the supermarket to do the shopping – oh joy.

My son went round to his bestie’s house straight from school so I got a little extra ‘peace and quiet time’.

Wednesday 28th September – Day 271

Project 365 2022 Week 39

Changed my plans for my day off and sorted ‘stuff’ around the house and cleared a load of cupboards out in the kitchen.

Pippi loves sitting on the neighbour’s shed roof and teasing their dog.  It’s become a daily treat.

Was quite surprised

Thursday 29th September – Day 272

Project 365 2022 Week 39

You can tell it’s getting colder – these two are in more sleeping during the day and tend to sleep on my bed until the early hours.

My son had his first Orthodontist appointment to assess his needs.  Looks like he’s going to need two teeth extractions as well as a brace.  We’re back in January for a final decision.

Friday 30th September – Day 273

Project 365 2022 Week 39

How long until Spring arrives?  I’m really not a fan of colder weather.

Saturday 1st October – Day 274

Project 365 2022 Week 39

My son and I headed to Swindon first thing this morning to visit the Great Western Brick Show which is being held at STEAM this weekend. It’s the first time we’ve visited this particular exhibition, although we’ve been to the museum itself a few times over the years.  My son got lots of inspiration for future train loco MOCs, and he is now the proud owner of a Lego Dalek and Cyberman minifig and we bought a couple of sets from One More Brick, one of which will form part of the Lego Christmas display we are going to put together in December.

  1. The Woodchester places look interesting to visit and the shelves are looking fantastic.
Oh wow! Pippi looks so different now. It sounds like she has fun teasing the neighbours dog.
My eldest had the same thing with her teeth, 2 removed and braces. Her teeth look amazing now! It was well worth all of the appointments. x

  2. Woodchester looked really nice from your photos. I’ve never even heard of it. I had the same with my teeth – 2 out, and then the incisors pushed down. N’s got his second appt in November for them to make a decision now he’s had more teeth out since the first check. I think he has the same issue I had, but not sure whether they’ll think he’s too borderline.

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
