Last Sunday we went to Westonbirt Arboretum for the first time, we took Daddy P’s sister and her husband with us and it would appear that the rest of England decided to join us for the day. I’m quite excited that so many people appear to love trees, nature and autumnal colours. Honestly, it was heaving at the entrance all day, but once you’d got past the payment queues and fuelled up in the cafe, there was plenty of room for everyone. I’ll be sharing a post next weekend on our day, but this photo stood apart from the amazing colours of the trees. Flowers also turning, a hydrangea bloom half vibrant in hues of blue, half brown and dying.
I love the mix of colours, it almost looked like a bouquet – my kind of colours aren’t they!

Over 40 and a Mum to One
A Mum with a 13 year old son, enjoying life and having fun as my son travels through school life. We love to get outdoors whenever possible and make the most of the world around us. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.
Wow, there really is a lot of colour in that!
Every year I say we should go to Westonbirt and every year we don’t! The last time we went, my 14 year son was four months old!
It was breathtaking there. We had a wonderful day
The colours are gorgeous. You’re right about it looking like a stunning bouquet.
Thank you
Beautiful colours. I’ve never really been a hydrangea fan, but the colours can be gorgeous.
I love them personally, you can get so much variation
Hydrangea are my most favourite flowers, and these are simply gorgeous, and because of the colour change, I have never seen this colour before. They are usually pastel colours. Beautiful!

That’s what grabbed me, totally different to the colours I would expect
Ours have these same purple and blue tones now, I’m hoping they last another month, it is the last signs of summer.
Beautiful aren’t they, fingers crossed
What amazing colours, it’s looks like colourful flowers

What gorgeous flowers! They are so pretty! I do love the colours….
Beautiful. I adore hydrangeas, I take lots of photos of ours. Love the way they change over the year, but remain beautiful even when fading. Our first frost hasn’t been too kind to ours though 🙁 Lovely photo x
What an absolutely stunning picture. Love it!
They look like a ball of butterflies all bunch up together. So lovely! 🙂
Yes I can see that too
A perfect photo
