This week I’m taking you to the beautiful city of York. We’d dropped the car at our hotel and headed along the city walls on our way to the National Railway Museum. The majesty of the city lay before us.
It’s a photographers paradise, wonderful stonework, old buildings, chimney stacks and we hadn’t even got to the trains. I’d forgotten how lovely York is and we’d only just arrived. This photo signals the start of a lovely bank holiday weekend, exploring and reminiscing. Having fun.

Over 40 and a Mum to One
A Mum with a 13 year old son, enjoying life and having fun as my son travels through school life. We love to get outdoors whenever possible and make the most of the world around us. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.
What a beautiful photo! There’s so much to take in. The only time I’ve ever been to York was on a primary school trip, age 11!
I love York although I have not been for over 30 years!! I really must try and get back one day soon!
I love the fact it’s actually quite small so easy to explore
I recognised the Minster from the thumbnail on Darren’s linky! I love York, there’s so much to see and do there. Did you spot all the cat statues on buildings while you were there too? 🙂
We did find a few of them and will track down more on a future visit
This photo is amazing! I love it! I have never been in York before but after this I should put this place on my to do list! Thanks for sharing, x

York is so lovely, my sister works there and I’ve been a few times, but not enough. This photo has a water colour effect to it, with its soft dreamy colours, did you use a particular filter in editing?
No not used a filter at all, just as it was meant to be
