#ClangersForKindness – giveaway

As I’m of a certain age, I grew up with the original series of the Clangers, and it was one of my favourite programmes as a child.  I’d actually bought the DVD of the series for Monkey when I was pregnant.  There was no way this child wasn’t going to grow up being a fan of the Clangers.  Today I’m sharing our thoughts on these loveable characters and I’ve got a #ClangersForKindness giveaway for you too.

You might have spotted the TV adverts recently featuring the #ClangersforKindness campaign, Monkey certainly did.  He’s had his own little Tiny since he was a baby, and as the show concentrates on family, friendship and helping others, he’s grown up taking all of those values on board.

Monkey’s school is really keen to instill good value in their pupils and each month they focus on something different; respect, friendship, kindness. The Clangers for Kindness campaign fits in perfectly to bring that message home too.  Monkey and I have been trying to make sure we show a kindness every day.  Whether that’s giving each other a hug, helping Monkey get through the trauma of losing a tooth, or helping his friend when he hurt himself at school.  It’s the little things isn’t it.

Will you be joining in with the campaign with your children?

I’ve got some lovely Clangers items to share with you today, I will also be giving another set away in my giveaway.  So what do we have?

First up is Tickle ‘n’ Whistle Tiny from Character Online.  She comes with demo 3 x LR44 batteries, and is touch sensitive.  Tickle her breastplate and she’ll whistle for you.  She’s been a big hit with Monkey. Her arms move too. Tiny is aimed at children aged 3 years and over.

Also from Character Online, you can find a number of Clangers play sets, we have received the Small and Soup Trolley vehicle and figurine set.  The trolley has moveable wheels, a soup urn and Small can be played with separately.

A set that will be going down well here is the Clangers Astronomy set from Apples to Pears.  The set looks lovely and we aim to make our planets up when we have a spare weekend.  It includes everything you need to make your own planet mobile with eight polystyrene balls, little blue planet and iron chickens nest, 4 paints, paint brush, wood for mobile, tape, telescope, stickers, glue and instructions.  The tin itself is rather nice too.  Would certainly make a lovely stocking filler.

I’ve included my Amazon Affiliate links below for your reference for all of these lovely Clangers gifts.

For more information on the Clangers and to keep up to date with all the latest news, you can follow them on Facebook, Instagram and Instagram.

Monkey’s certainly going to be taking part in #ClangersforKindness and encouraging his friends to too.

  1. We like the soup dragon because she puts up with the noisy, naughty clangers and helps out when she can.

  2. Mother Clanger as she looks after them all. She sometimes gets worried and cross when the small Clangers misbehave.

  3. I’ve never seen the Clangers :/
My son watches it and says he likes Tiny the best because she is cute x

  4. I’ve never watched it so I will guess that grandson would like Soup Dragon, because he is into dragons and dinos

  5. We love small clanger because he loves to invent things he reminds me of my own son who is very adventurous

  6. Major Clanger because although he can be a little grumpy he’s always determined to try and get things right on the planet

  7. The Soup dragon is my favourite – I remember as a child watching the original Clangers whilst toasting crumpets on a open fire and the idea of a dragon eating soup ( my favourite food) was comforting – I know it sounds weird!!)

  8. Granny Clanger, because with all her knitting she reminds me of my mum / granny to my son – who has a vast range of hand knitted jumpers, hats and gloves courtesy of her

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
