I was thrilled to be asked by Itsyourstory to create and review a Fathers Day storybook using their online shop. I’d been struggling to think of something for Monkey to get Daddy for Father’s Day – problem solved! As Monkey and Daddy love their storytime together this was a great idea.
So I visited the online shop and selected the Large A4 Format with 32 story pages of the Adult and Child Zoo Adventure priced at £22.50 including P&P. (There are two other sizes available, the smallest is priced at £12.50+ P&P) I loved the theme with our little boy’s nickname being Monkey – just so apt.
It was incredibly easy to personalise – adding a photo of Daddy (I actually uploaded a photo that would need cropping, but there is a message box for extra instructions, so that issue was easily dealt with). I was asked for my son’s name, where we lived and a few of my son’s friends names along with a few of Daddy’s favourite things. The whole transaction was completed in a couple of minutes. I received an email 4 working days later confirming that our book was on its way, and it arrived the very next day 🙂 I love good service.
I’m really thrilled with the results. My son is going to love the story and I am sure Daddy will too. Zoo Adventure is written by Holly Wright with illustrations by Anna Horton and is aimed at readers between the age of 2-6 years. The story is based on the special relationship between father and child and the adventures they have during a trip to the Zoo. It cleverly includes the information I provided to personalise the story and Daddy P’s face pops up throughout the illustrations. You add two of your child’s friends names too, so great if you want all your children involved in the story, or just friends.
My son and I have now read it together and he thinks it’s really funny. We are going to wrap it up for Father’s Day and will show you Daddy P’s reaction when he opens it on Father’s Day. If you’re looking for something a little different to give for Father’s Day this year, then look no further. This is a really great, fun idea, and encourages some Daddy bonding time over a good storybook.
