You all know I’m a bookworm and I’m keen to instill a love of books in my 7 year old son too. I also like to think ahead for later in the year for present ideas for the festive season (don’t shoot me). So covering all bases I’ve been looking at some bargain books from The Works in their summer sale 2017.
I still have a reluctant reader here, but he’s loved me reading the How to Train Your Dragon series of books to him, and I think the Beast Quest book series might get him interested in reading for himself.
This box set really are bargain books from The Works, as they are on sale for £6 instead of £29.94! I think these might do for presents too.
My son is always telling me that you can never have too many books about dinosaurs and the Jurassic Survival Guide sounds likes another example of bargain books from The Works.
I’m always in need of some cooking inspiration, and if I can bag a bargain at the same time I’m even happier. I’m tempted to buy a couple of books at the moment. Easy to Make Every Day Family meals ticks every box for me and at £1.50 instead of £6.99 I’m saving pennies as I shop.
I really need to get to grips with using pastry more and Pies Pies Pies might just inspire me, especially with the 79% saving in the summer sale.
It’s no secret that we are family of steam train addicts. In fact we might just have a date with The Flying Scotsman this weekend, and I’m not sure who in the family is most excited.

I’ve always been a big fan of The Works, and am a regular shopper in our local store, I don’t always remember to look on-line too, but it’s a great way to shop for discounted books for all the family.
What would you buy for your family?
