It’s always exciting when Monkey gets mail, but even more so when it’s come from the North Pole! I’d been employed as one of Santa’s little helpers so I had an idea this his parcel might be some book bundle delights from Miles Kelly.
This Christmas the team at Miles Kelly are putting together a range of Book Bundles and with Monkey’s love of nature, he really was in for a great surprise.
What I really loved about watching Monkey unwrap his book bundle, was the fact that he stopped to look through each book before unwrapping the next one. The books are perfect for him and for our nature adventures. So what did he receive in his Wildlife Gift Set book bundle?
This great set includes 3 handbooks – British Wildflowers & Trees, British Garden Life and British Birds. These books would normally cost £9.99 each, but as part of the #GiveTheGiftOf book bundle offer available through Miles Kelly in the run up to Christmas, the set costs £20.00. I do like a bargain!
Each of the three books has over 200 pages, crammed full of information and tips, pictures and sections that can be completed by Monkey as we spot animals, plants, birds and trees on our adventures. All of the books cover 100 different species to identify and record, we’ll certainly be kept busy.
We’re going to be making use of the British Wildflowers and Trees handbook straight away as we identify the leaves we collected from our recent trip to Westonbirt Arboretum. We’re both thrilled with Monkey’s new wildlife collection, they will be much loved.
There are instructions on building things to create habitats for wildlife in the garden, looking at the garden through the seasons, how to plant trees and measure those already well established and tips on bird watching.
It’s well worth visiting the Miles Kelly website, as they have 20 different book bundle offers running this side of Christmas. From Dinosaurs and Space to Princesses, Mystery and Adventure, there really is a set for everyone. They also have a handy Christmas gift guide which you might find useful. We found this great Insect Guide as an add-on to Monkey’s Wildlife set for our bug hunting trips, it’s also currently on offer for £5.24.
disclaimer: we were sent the books mentioned in exchange for an honest review

Over 40 and a Mum to One
A Mum with a 13 year old son, enjoying life and having fun as my son travels through school life. We love to get outdoors whenever possible and make the most of the world around us. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.
