I was first introduced to BrainBox games a few years ago when I won their Dinosaurs game for my son. My son loves that game and we’ve played it countless times over the time we’ve had it. We’re building up his collection of chapter book classics so I thought the BrainBox Roald Dahl game would work well for him.
Aimed at children aged 7 years and over, the game focuses on the classic stories of The BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Matilda. The BrainBox Roald Dahl game has been redesigned recently and is ideal to help children improve their memory and observation skills.
The game comes with a flip lid storage box, 55 double-sided playing cards, sand timer, die and rules card.

The joy of playing BrainBox Roald Dahl is that it really doesn’t matter if you haven’t read the three stories used in the game before. The game is purely based on memorising the details on each playing card. But it has inspired us to read Matilda, a book neither of us have read before.
Having an only child, it’s always appreciated when games can actually be played as a solo player as will as in a group, and anything that encourages my son to read whilst having fun is a winner in my eyes.
Priced at £11.99 BrainBox Roald Dahl is also a great game to take on holiday, it’s compact and easy to play on the go. We really like the range of games and this is one is a welcome addition to our collection. I’ve included my Amazon Affiliate link below for your reference in case you want to try it out for yourselves.
