My now 8 year old son lives in a world of imaginary play, it makes me so happy that this is the case. He’ll play with electronic games but it’s never long before he’s drawn back to toys and the world inside his head.  The latest addition to his small world play is the new Britains Land Rover and Livestock Trailer Set.  It’s aimed at children aged 3 years and over and is 1:32 scale.

We’ve visited a number of farms and farm shows over the years so I knew this set would go down well with my son.  The set comes with a Land Rover Defender 90, Trailer, Farmer, sheepdog, 2 sheep and 1 ram and 4 lambs.

The Land Rover Defender 90 has a detachable canopy and tow hitch, so it can tow not only the trailer from this set, but other farm machinery with in the 1:32 series produced by Britains.

Whilst the removable canopy means the sheep dog can see where the farmer is driving!  It pulls off and snaps back into place, giving you different play options.

With the Britains Land Rover and Livestock Trailer Set comes a replica Ifor Williams trailer, complete with moveable tail gate, and side barriers which make it easier to get the animals onto and off the trailer.  These then fold up inside the trailer, just like the real thing.

As with all Britains items, the Britains Land Rover and Livestock Trailer Set is made from die-cast metal and durable plastic and should withstand a lot of play.  My son is certainly loving this new set, and the various play scenarios it offers.

The farmer and animals have some lovely little features and are the perfect size for little hands.
