Celebrating seven years of blogging with illooms LED latex balloons – AD sent for review and giveaway

disclosure:  I am being compensated for this post and items mentioned have been sent for the purpose of review and giveaway

Time flies when you’re having fun and it only seems five minutes ago that I hit the publish button on my first blog post.  I know some of you have been with me from the very start and others have joined us along the way.  We’ve shared our experiences of chickenpox, pre-school and nursery right through to year five.  You’ve joined us on so many wonderful adventures and we really have been so lucky with everything we’ve seen and done thanks to my second baby, this blog!  So today I’m celebrating seven years of blogging with illooms and their range of the worlds first LED latex balloons.

Celebrating seven years of blogging with illooms

illooms have a whole host of options in their range of LED latex balloon, so whether you might be celebrating a birthday, the birth of a new member of your family or want to light up life’s special moment, then look no further. We received a selection of these balloons for our own little blog birthday celebrations.

I love all things silver, so the pack of silver light up balloons are perfect.  You all know that my son who features throughout my blog, loves all things red, so the multi mix pack works perfectly for him.  These packs include 2 x red,
yellow, blue, white, purple, pink, orange and green balloons.  We both love stars so we are all set to get the party started with the star light up balloons in blue, purple and pink.

The illooms balloons are really easy to use and it’s recommended that you use a balloon pump to inflate them.  Each balloon contains a tab which you pull before inflating the balloon to activate the internal LED, then you just inflate the balloon using the inflation band guide provided, tie the balloon with a knot and then enjoy the illooms glow for up to 15 hours!

As well as celebrating seven years of blogging with illooms, it’s also been lovely to celebrate our big cat Brewster coming home from the vets on Monday.  It’s really been quite a week for us!  We’ve stuck with clusters of balloons here, but you might want to create garlands along curtain poles or along bannisters or have a cascade of balloons running from the ceiling down to the floor.  With the added LED light up element to these balloons, illooms are just that little bit different, making them perfect for all sorts of celebrations.

Stockists for the illooms LED latex balloons include: Card Factory, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and selected Asda stores.  Prices start from as little as £1.

  1. Our family birthday season starts in March and runs through the summer. These would be a wonderful addition to the parties.

  2. I would use them for my best friends daughters birthday as i think all the children would love these light up balloons

  3. Both my step-grandchildren have their birthdays in November, and it would be great to have them at their party as something a little bit different

  4. Mary, I don’t have any balloons on hand or I’d take a photo and send it to you as a picture would be easier to see than my explanation!! Years ago, someone showed me how to tie a balloon so it could be reused. This person twisted the neck of the balloon and then stretched it to tie it shut but instead of pulling the top piece of balloon neck all the way through the loop, she only pulled it halfway through. Afterwards, she could pull on the piece that wasn’t all the way through, let the air out, and store the balloon(s) to use at the next birthday celebration. I found it handy as before that, I’d often forget to pick up a package of balloons and would need to rush out to buy some at the last minute. Plus the balloons blow up easier after being used once already! Eventually you need to restart with new balloons but it was a good way to use the balloons more than once.

  5. I forgot to say that the light up feature looks great! I’ll have to see if I can find any here. Our granddaughter
would be delighted with them at her next birthday!
