Now if you have a child obsessed by trains, fire engines, construction and knights and dragons then I’m sure you’ll be interested in Christmas stocking fillers from HiT Entertainment!
Monkey loves Thomas & Friends, and I grew up with the stories of Thomas the Tank Engine by Rev W Awdry. We have all of the books thanks to Monkey’s godmum, and a number of trains as well as a couple of DVD’s. There was a launch event at Drayton Manor Park for Thomas & Friends The King of the Railway DVD, but unfortunately it was on the same day that Monkey started Nursery School, so we couldn’t go. But as a reward for settling in so well at his new school I bought him the DVD at the end of his first week. The train followed soon after!
It’s a great film, lasts for an hour and we’ve watched in countless times since the beginning of September!
We’ve just received the Thomas & Friends Merry Christmas Thomas! DVD with Big Bang Surprise which contains 2 DVD’s and a total of 11 classic seasonal episodes. You can guess what we’ve been doing since this package arrived can’t you.
While you’re watching one of these great Thomas & Friends DVD’s there’s really only one thing to be snacking on isn’t there?
Monkey loves castles, knights and dragons so it’s no surprising that Mike the Knight has been a firm favourite here too. There’s a new Christmas DVD out that’s been reviewed by Eileen at ET Speaks from Home called Mike the Knight: A Very Knightly Christmas.
If you are still in need of Christmas stocking fillers from HiT Entertainment then think Fireman Sam. Our friendly Fireman has been a big hit here for a couple of years. I think I know the entire script to The Great Fire of Pontypandy off by heart. It’s a great film, a few years old now, but it’s much loved here.
My niece loves Fireman Sam. I think it’s great that they’ve updated the shows but I so preferred the original Fireman Sam.
I know what you mean, I’d watched the original with my nephew and got quite a shock when I first watched it with Monkey, but he loves it. But then I remember the original Thomas the Tank Engine books too …..
My son used to love Thomas and Fireman Sam – they have some great DVD’s and they do make perfect stocking fillers!
I can’t imagine life without Thomas and Fireman Sam!
I think a couple of those items may well be in Bud’s stocking this year.
I’m not surprised!
