Dentyl Active

Dentyl Active – alcohol free mouthwash

Being prone to gum disease, I had surgery a while back to save some teeth, a good mouth care regime is vital for me.  As part of that I use mouthwash twice a day and have been a fan of Dentyl Active for a while.  I’ve previously used their Ultra Cleanse products and was asked before Christmas if we’d like to try the Plaque Fighter range in Smooth Mint and Fresh Clove (also available in Minty Citrus).  The bottles are 500ml size.

Dentyl Active

Dentyl Active is alcohol free, so it’s great for sensitive teeth and even children can use it from the age of 6.  I know all too well what damage can be done to teeth and gums and this product helps on a number of levels, leaving my teeth clean, my breath fresh and kills 99.9% of oral bacteria.

The product is very different to anything else on the market as it has a unique two-phase solution which is completely alcohol free. It has essential oils at the top and CPC (an antibacterial agent) at the bottom so you have to shake it before you use it.  You can also see it works as it highlights the bacteria and food debris in the sink as brightly coloured masses so you know that it is working.

Daddy P and I have both been putting Dentyl Active to the test over the last few weeks. I’ve been as impressed with the Plaque Fighter as with other items within the range and will certainly continue to use the Smooth Mint product.  I can feel the difference on my teeth and it really does give your mouth a long-lasting clean and fresh feel.

I do have to say that I am not keen on the Fresh Clove product at all.  It’s not a taste I would choose for a mouthwash product, and I did raise an eyebrow when I first saw it.  But I did try it, uum, no, not for me.  Daddy P is less fussy on that score, he doesn’t rave about it, but he’ll happily use it.  The Smooth Mint is the clear winner here.

You do need to make sure that you shake the bottle well before use to mix the mouthwash correctly, fill half the cap with solution and rinse for 30 seconds, gargle (or attempt to if you are like me!) and then spit into the sink.  You really can see the results in the sink.  I have another 3 month check up next week with the Dentist and I’m sure she’ll be pleased with the latest addition to my oral hygiene regime!

You can find Dentyl Active products in all the major supermarkets.

  1. I use this all the time. I hate mint flavours but found the mint one isn’t too bad at all. I prefer the clove oil one, unusual taste to it. The only thing with these is that if I don’t shake them enough I end up with a mouth full of oily stuff.
I have noticed a big improvement in my overall dental hygeine since using this.

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
