Despicable Me 3

Despicable Me 3 – DVD review #DespicableMe3

Today sees the release on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray™, DVD and On Demand of Despicable Me 3 from Universal Pictures (UK).  It’s the third in the series of fun films featuring the Minions and my son and I were lucky enough to get a sneak preview last week.  It’s got the thumbs up here.

Despicable Me 3

Despicable Me 3 sees us meeting up again with Gru and his wife Lucy and their daughters Margo, Edith and Agnes as new adventures await. Unfortunately things haven’t gone quite to plan for our reformed bad guy Gru.  When he fails to apprehend the villain of the film, Balthazar Bratt, both he and Lucy are fired from the Anti-Villain League.

Things take an unexpected turn when he is discovers he has a long-lost twin brother, Dru, who longs to live up to Gru’s despicable reputation.  It turns out that their father was a real super villain who left Dru, a wealthy man.  He just doesn’t have the flair and competence of his brother Gru. Can Dru turn his brother back to his despicable ways?

Let’s just say that the Minions certainly hope so.  they are desperate to be naughty again, and abandon Gru when he refuses to be a villain any more.  The Minions find themselves behind bars when they are arrested for trespassing at a talent show.

Then the fun really begins in Despicable Me 3 and both my 7 year old son and I were glued to the screen as we watched the antics unfold.
