With the better weather we’ve been having it’s been time to get out in the garden with the paddling pool. Yes it’s summer, ok I’m whispering that, please don’t blame me if the storm clouds descend again. I’d like to share with you the Ferry Boat and Cars from the Green Toys range this month. Another great recycled plastic toy that we love!
This Ferry Boat with Cars is an ideal toy for the paddling pool – it actually floats. Aimed at children aged 3 years and over, I can also confirm that 46-year-olds love this too – it’s fab.
As with all Green Toys products, this set is made from 100% recycled plastic, and is dishwasher safe. You get a Ferry Boat with a moveable ramp and two cars, which can sit side by side on one in front of the other on the ferry. I couldn’t actually wait for Monkey to test the floatation out, so I tried it in our kitchen sink myself. This also gives you an idea of the size.
The details are fab, little benches that figures can sit on, we’ve tested it with Lego, Tonka Town and Brio figures so far. The ramp is great, you pull it out or push it back in and it retracts under the deck. I’m not sure who was actually more excited about this; me or Monkey.
With any toy that can be used with water, you want to be able to give it a good clean afterwards. As I’ve already mentioned the Ferry Boat with Cars is dishwasher safe and the deck can be removed quite easily from the hull of the ferry to aid with cleaning too.
So what did my Eco Toy Tester think? He absolutely loves the Ferry Boat with Cars, real toys that float. They have been in the paddling pool and in the bath. He’s also just as happy playing with them indoors. He hasn’t got anything quite like this Ferry Boat, it’s a bit different and it’s really sparked his imagination.
He’s had hours of entertainment from his latest Green Toys delivery and I can’t see that changing any time soon. Even if the weather changes, you can already see that this toy will just move into the Living Room.
Priced at £19.99 I really think this is great value for money, it’s a robust plastic toy with no metal parts. Nothing is going to snap off and end the play potential. It’s a bit different, it’s going to last and give lots of fun, Monkey loves his Ferry Boat with Cars. What more can you ask.

I love this toy! I can see this being amazing in the garden, in the bath or in the house. The cars and ramp look great too and the fact you can take it apart and put it in the dishwasher is pure genius! x
It’s really versatile and different to anything we have.
This looks like a great toy for the paddling pool and bath. I love that you can put it in the dishwasher – we have so many toys that we have had to throw away as we just couldn’t get them properly clean.
