Knowing that Monkey is a bit a vehicle fanatic Golden Bear Toys recently sent him their Go MINI Power Boost Racer to test.
The Go MINI Power Boost Racer is aimed at children aged between 3-7 years, and comes completed with 3 x AA batteries. The Power Boost Racer is launched at the end of this month and is the latest addition to the Go MINI range.
Switch your Go MINI Power Boost Racer on, and then press the yellow button on the top of the car – press once, twice or three times depending of the level of power boost you want! Then watch and listen as the Mini revs up, shakes and zooms away, before sliding to a stop with a cool hand brake turn.
Monkey has enjoyed playing with his Go MINI Power Boost Racer. He’s got it working on lino, carpet and our patio, although the power boost won’t work on grass. But this hasn’t stopped him having lots of fun with it. As you press the yellow power boost button the different power level buttons light up in red and he’s off. The power boost levels relate to the distance the racer will travel. Press once and the racer will only travel a short distance, press three times and the car will zoom off at high-speed.
Monkey loves the hand brake turn squeal as the Racer swerves to a stop. It’s definitely kept him entertained but I’m not totally convinced that this racer would engage a 7-year-old for very long.
The colours are bright and engaging, and being red it’s a big hit in this house. It’s sturdy and I don’t see the wing mirrors snapping off easily.
With a RRP of £19.99 this is probably a bit over what I would prefer to pay, but Monkey loves it, so guess that speaks volumes.

That looks fun! We have a Lightening McQueen who is very similar and my two love sending it back and forth between each other!
I cannot wait for our house to be filled with cars. Little Man is a bit oblivious so far! x
