Going on an adventure with TRESPASS

Going on an adventure with TRESPASS

We do love getting out and about here, and really we are all-weather explorers.  We’re as happy in the pouring rain as we are in a heat wave, but I do need to have confidence that our attire will protect us whatever the weather.  As winter gets ever closer we’ve been going on an adventure with TRESPASS and putting their winter collection to the test.

Over the last half term I think we had every weather condition imaginable, excluding snow, so going on an adventure with TRESPASS was a real test.  The leading outdoor clothing retailer have sent my soon to be 8 year old son a jacket each from their new winter collection and we’ve worn then come rain or shine recently.

I opted for the Alissa II Women’s 3 in 1 Jacket with inner jacket, in Teal, in a size S. I feel the cold terribly, and liked the idea of a jacket that offered flexibility, with three options for the price of one, what’s not to love!  There’s a longer length outer jacket and an inner padded jacket that can be worn independently or can be zipped into the jacket, with popper fasteners at the collar, and both cuffs.

The outer jacket features taped seams to keep me dry whatever the weather and also features a detachable and adjustable hood.  The cuffs have velcro tabs so you can adjust them and both front pockets are zipped and angled, which I find so comfortable at this time of year.

Both the inner and outer jacket feature hanging loops and the inner jacket is filled with Coldheat fibres.  These fibres make the jacket really snug whilst the jacket still feels lightweight.  I’ve tended to wear the jackets together as the weather has been so unpredictable, and have been really impressed by how warm and cosy I’ve felt, even on a -1 degree C walk to school on Monday morning!

The sizing is perfect for me and I love the longer length.  There’s nothing worse than getting a wet or cold bum if you decide to sit on a bench at this time of year.  The longer length is also something every school mum comes to appreciate on the walk to and from school in rain, snow and hail.

My son and I both love him in red, and for coats I’ve come to realise what a great idea having him dressed in something that stands out really is.  He really can’t get lost easily in a crowd.  He opted for the Longton Boys Padded Jacket in Red, I decided on the size 9-10 years.  Although he’s only just turning 8, he’s already the height of an average 9-year-old and I wanted to know he’d have some growing room.  Whilst the arms are a little long, the length is perfect and he loves his new jacket. Going on an adventure with TRESPASS has put a big smile on his face.

It’s been an instant hit and worn pretty much every time we’ve left the house since it arrived.  The light padding and box quilting makes it feel really cosy.  There’s a drawcord at the hem should you wish to adjust, elasticated cuffs, hanging loop, name tab, popper fastening pockets for all the treasure my son finds when were out and a detachable, adjustable hood.

I know that he’s going to be having lots of adventures with his new TRESPASS jacket, and I’ll be running along behind trying to keep up.  I also know that we’re both going to stay dry and warm, but it won’t stop us having a hot chocolate when we’re out and about for that added glow of warmth.

So far we’ve been going on an adventure with TRESPASS as far away as Derbyshire, and the West Midlands and right on our doorstep in nearby Buckinghamshire.  My son has worn his coat to school and mine has kept me snug and dry on the school walks.

Who will you be trusting to keep you warm and dry on your winter adventures?  TRESPASS have a whole range of outdoor clothing for all the family. Whether you looking for waterproof trousers or ski wear, boots or gym wear, they have a whole host of items to choose from, both in store and online.  We can certainly recommend them.
