When my son was born on 10th December 2009 the number one film in the DVD film chart was Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Since that day I’ve been looking forward to introducing my son to the world of Harry and his friends and sharing their adventures with him.  This year I’ve managed to cover all bases and you to could have yourself a Wizarding World Christmas full of Harry Potter goodies – there’s so much to choose from and I’m sharing a few ideas with you today.

For the film buffs out there, I have the ultimate Harry Potter gift idea for you – The Wizarding World 10 film box set includes all 8 of the Harry Potter films as well as both Fantastic Beasts films.  That’s our Christmas viewing sorted!

Perhaps you like to dress up over the Christmas period and have a party with your family bubble.  If so, then we’ve got that covered too as Rubies offer a range of Harry Potter-themed outfit ideas, including this Gryffindor full length robe.

Which house would you choose to be a part of?  We are big Gryffindor fans here, but perhaps you should let the Harry Potter Sorting Hat choose for you.

The Sorting Hat comes complete with 3 x AA batteries and has 5 different phrases to sort the wearer into their correct house.  My son loves this real talking Sorting Hat and the novelty of being sorted into a house hasn’t worn off.

You might even decide that the Harry Potter Fan Club is the perfect gift for your Harry Potter fan.

Have yourself a Wizarding World Christmas full of Harry Potter goodies, and why not magic up something wonderful with these Harry Potter Mystery Wands from The Noble Collection.

There are nine different Harry Potter Mystery Wands to collect, each comes with its own wand box and matching 3D bookmark.  My son was thrilled to open his and discover Harry’s wand was inside, I was rather hoping for Hermione’s myself!

Who doesn’t like a family board game to play over the Christmas period?  I’ve got a great one to share with you if you fancy having yourself a Wizarding World Christmas full of Harry Potter goodies and trying out the Magical Beasts Board Game which is aimed at players aged 8 years and over and can be played with 2-4 players.

Magical Beasts Board Game

Can you collect all four of the Beast Clue cards that identify a specific beast to win the game? Fans are going to love playing this game, especially with a playing board that flips between the interior and exterior of Hogwarts Castle as gameplay progresses.

For a fast-paced family game that’s also ideal as a travel game as it fits so easily in a bag, we just love Harry Potter Dobble.

Harry Potter Dobble is aimed at players aged 6 years and over and can be played with up 2-8 players, there are also 5 different quick party games to play in this set which is great for hand-eye coordination.  Can you be the first to spot the matching symbols between two cards?

For Christmas stocking fillers with a Harry Potter theme, I’ve got two ideas to share with you today.  The first, as you can imagine has been a double hit here – Harry Potter and Lego, what’s not to like?

With the series 2 LEGO® Harry Potter™ Minifigure collection there are 16 different characters to collect in these blind bags.  Each comes with its own accessory and stand.

Finally, why not take a look inside the Harry Potter Magical Capsules and collect your favourite characters and discover hidden items in the secret compartments within the capsules.

There are 10 different characters to collect in the first series of these stocking fillers and each comes with 7 miniature items.

If you’d like a bit of a project then why not look at the Harry Potter knitting kits which are available, we’ve received this wonderful Hogwarts Express Draught Excluder!

Now I need to teach myself how to knit, Mum tried years ago, but a rightie showing a leftie how to knit in the 1970s was never going to be a recipe for success.  Youtube may well be my friend this time around.

I hope I’ve given you some inspiration and I wish you fun times and hope you have yourself a Wizarding World Christmas full of Harry Potter goodies.
