With my love of jigsaws and maps it’s fairly clear that I hope to share both my interests with Monkey in the years ahead. With that in mind Wentworth Wooden Puzzles kindly sent me the I Know My World Map with 50 pieces (it’s also available to buy in 100 and 250 piece formats).
The I Know My World Map is aimed at children aged 7 years and over and at the moment a nearly 6 year old Monkey has found the unique shaping of the puzzle pieces a little challenging. So he left Mum to put the puzzle together for him.
Wooden puzzles have a wonderful aroma to them, and this puzzle is no different. The pieces are well made and the graphics are clear. I like the idea that with Wentworth Wooden Puzzles you can buy the same puzzle in different size formats. If a child particularly likes a certain 50 piece puzzle, as they get a bit older, you can buy the same puzzle but with added complexity of construction.
Monkey certainly liked the Whimsy pieces that came with our latest puzzle. He recognised most of these iconic objects too.
One of my favourite books as a child was the Puffin book of Flags, a book I still have. Monkey’s looked through it with me before and knows some of the world flags now. I loved completing this puzzle so we could match up some puzzles from my old book and look for ones that might have changed in the last 40 years!
As well as this lovely I Know My World Map puzzle, we found a Quiz sheet featuring flags, the countries of the world, animals and well known landmarks.
I know we’ll be using this jigsaw a lot in the next few years and I hope it gives Monkey the same love of maps and flags that I’ve had since I was his age.

Over 40 and a Mum to One
A Mum with a 13 year old son, enjoying life and having fun as my son travels through school life. We love to get outdoors whenever possible and make the most of the world around us. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.
Oh, I really like this. My daughter loves her jigsaws and I was looking for something challenging and educational for her. My brother is also something of a weird aficionado on flags, so he’d love this, too!
