I’m always interested to look at books which tackle different subjects, and Introducing Teddy is certainly one of those. We recently received the hardback picture book from Boolino to have a look through.
Written by Jessica Walton we meet Thomas the Teddy and his owner Errol. The two are inseparable, a little like Monkey and his teddy Biff. They have lots of adventures together but Thomas is hiding a secret.
Thomas is really worried that if he tells Errol the truth, he won’t want to be friends with him any more. But one day he plucks up the courage to tell him that he has always wanted to be a girl teddy, with a bow in his hair rather than a bow tie. The teddy wants to be called Tilly. How will Errol and his friends react?
This is a charming story with a message telling children that it’s ok to be yourself and real friends will care about you regardless.
The paperback option of Introducing Teddy is available from Boolino for £6.99 and has been well received here.
