Mr Men The Christmas Tree

Mr Men The Christmas Tree – a book review

There are a number of books that remind of my own childhood and happy times with my younger brother.  We both loved the Mr Men series of books by Roger Hargreaves.  In those days there were no Little Miss books – yes, I’m showing my age again!  I’ve bought Monkey a lot of Mr Men books since he was born and I always look out for a Christmas one for his December birthday.  This year he got Mr Men The Christmas Tree, published earlier this year by Egmont UK Ltd.

Mr Men The Christmas TreeMr Men The Christmas Tree is written and illustrated by Adam Hargreaves in the same style as his father.  It is a little 32 page paperback book, as you would expect from a book in the Mr Men series.  These books are aimed at children over the age of 3 years, but I’ve been reading them to Monkey forever.

In this story we follow poor Mr Forgetful who has forgotten to buy his Christmas Tree.  We follow him on his search for a tree, and meet up with other favourites from the series.  Unfortunately Mr Forgetful has left is too late to buy a tree from a shop and has to go in search for the perfect tree in the forest.

I won’t ruin the rest of the story for you, but it’s Christmas so there is a happy ending to the tale.

Any Mr Men and Little Miss fan is going to love this latest book – Mr Men The Christmas Tree, Monkey’s loved reading this book with me since his 4th birthday on Tuesday. Priced at £2.99 you can’t go wrong.
