Mumfies Quest

Mumfie’s Quest – DVD review and giveaway

Lionsgate Home Entertainment released Mumfie’s Quest on DVD earlier this week. Mumfies QuestMumfie’s Quest is a movie made from the original TV series of some years ago.  The film has a real innocence to it, and reminds me very much of the animation I grew up with myself.  Monkey has been enthralled with this film; created by Britt Allcroft, who has brought us the Thomas & Friends series.

The 107 minute film introduces us to Mumfie – a little Elephant who is desperate for adventure.  He decides to leave home and makes friends with a Scarecrow along the way. The pair come across a little winged pig called Pinky who wants to find his mother.  The new friends decide to help him and so continues the adventure.

They meet a helpful whale on their travels who gives them a ride pack to the island Pinky calls home.  All the happiness and joy have been banished from the island. Singing and Dancing has been banned!  Mumfie gets separated from his friends and finds Pinky’s Mummy imprisoned by the Bristle who works for the evil Secretary to the Queen of Night.  The quest is on to find The Queen of Night’s jewel and return the life back to Pinky’s home.

I’m not going to spoil the ending for you, but this really is a charming tale of friendship and good will always win the day.

  1. I have always wanted to be a Panther from an early age. Ever since seeing the Jungle Book and Bagheera being so cool, calm and agile jumping from tree to tree 🙂

  2. I would love to be an indoor cat! They eat, poop in their tray and laze all day in the most comfy places around the house!

  3. I’d be a houserabbit if I could have the life my little boy had, he was so chilled and happy

  4. I’d love to be a cat..they are solitary animals that can look after themselves & have nine lives

  5. A bird, as I think t would be wonderful to be able to fly from place to place. Explore the world etc.

  6. I’m quite short and always having to ask people to reach up on high shelves for me so I’d like to be a giraffe and tower above everyone else.

  7. A tiger because it is such a magnificent, strong, beautiful and rare creature (unlike me who is just rare)

  8. I would love to be a cat. They can come and go when they want, sleep on your bed, demand love and attention when they are in the mood, and insist on their favourite food.

  9. I think I would like to be a cat so I could lie around all day apart from being fed & a little bit of playing!

  10. A Crocodile, It’s been around for many years without change therefore it works and it lives a long life.

  11. A cat – what better life than the one my kitties live, sleeping on anyones bed all day, been pampered and preened and having delicious delights to eat every night!

  12. If I could be an animal, then I would have to be a cat, Come and go as I please, the best seat in the house to curl up on and food & drink whenever its needed, oh, what a life 🙂

  13. ive always said i would be a cat, i would be clever and be free and chose who i trusted, and those i trusted would be privileged enough to stroke me, which i would love as i love massage! and i would curl up in all the warm spots to sleep!

  14. I’d be a dog, always happy and laze about all day getting treats and walks with my owner 🙂

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
