Monkey loves playing his CD’s in my car when we are off on our adventures.  He still loves Nursery Rhymes and sometimes I get away with playing one of my CD’s, but it’s always nice to try something new.  When I heard about Pop Goes Your Name, who offer personalised pop music CD’s, I knew I had to investigate.

POP Goes Your Name is a family run and inspired company founded by musicians & parents Lucy and Richard Patterson.

The Pop Goes Your Name website is really easy to use.  Monkey is named after his grandfather, but it seems to be a popular name at the moment, so I found his name easily on the list of options.  I’m guessing if your child has a very unusual name then this may not be an option for you, but the site currently has options for the top 800 UK children’s names.

You place you order, confirm the spelling and pronunciation of the required name and that’s it.  Each CD costs £12.95 plus postage.

The Pop Goes Your Name CD contained 12 songs, all personalised to include Monkey’s name.  I didn’t tell Monkey that when I popped the CD in the car.  He thought it was just the case that had his name added.

Mummy, that’s me! They are singing my name!  He loves this CD. Each song on the CD has a different tempo, from pop to soft rock.  I’m more than happy for the Pop Goes Your Name CD to be playing in the car right now.  The tunes are catchy, and so different from normal music CD’s for younger children.  I can see us using this CD if Monkey has a party at our house for his birthday.

If you  are looking for something a little different for a birthday or Christmas present then I can thoroughly recommend Pop Goes Your Name, these CD’s really are rather fab.
