I don’t know about you, but I find searching for trousers that actually fit me can be a total nightmare, and the worst culprits are often jeans. I’ve put on weight over the last year, most noticeably between my waist and thighs, and put simply, a lot of my clothes no longer fit me. So when I was approached recently to see if I’d like to start preparing for adventures with Lands’ End jeans I was intrigued to see how they’d fit, and also a little nervous, if I’m being honest. How good a fit would they actually be?
Lands’ End is a brand I’ve been aware of for some years. We’d been invited to a press day back in 2015 and subsequently, I was so impressed with the brand I’ve become a returning customer. The quality is always very good but I’ve never bought jeans from them before. I used to be an 8-10 for most things but now I find that often for trousers I’m heading more towards a 12. Length can often be another issue for me, I’m 5ft 6″ in old money, which to my mind is quite an average height, but often a standard length is actually too short for me. I’d really be putting Lands’ End and their jeans sizing to the test.
I opted for their High Waisted Straight leg knit denim jeans in a size 10/12, in the medium indigo colour and a regular length. Delivery was prompt as expected and I can’t tell you how relieved I was when I opened the box. They fit, perfectly.
No breathing in, no gapping around the waist thanks to a slightly elasticated waistband, even the perfect length for me. Such a relief, such a nice surprise.
Preparing for adventures with Lands’ End jeans will be a comfortable experience, the jeans are made from a soft, stretch denim jersey knit material, making them a pleasure to wear, to be frank.
They look just as good whether I’m tucking a top into them or wearing a top over them, and the jeans come with standard belt loops. so I could wear a belt if I so wished.
As well as wearing them when I’ve been pottering around in the garden or sitting at my desk working, I’ve been preparing for adventures with Lands’ End jeans near and far and they’ve really ticked all of my requirements. It’s so important to feel comfortable when you’re going on a long walk isn’t it?
As I mentioned early, I went for the straight-leg cut for these jeans, but Lands’ End also offers Skinny and Bootleg cuts as well as a range of jeggings. So whatever your preference, they’ve got you covered really.
