I am known for always having cold hands and feet and this is more of an issue than ever during the colder months.  I’ve tried a number of different options over the years but gloves have always been a bit of an issue.  Until now.  I’ve been introduced to Trekmates and their wide range of winter accessories and I saw something that might finally keep my hands warm and dry in the months ahead. I am now preparing for winter adventures with Trekmates Elkstone gloves.

As soon as you see GORE-TEX mentioned in relation to a product, you know that you’re getting a guaranteed level of quality and something that really will work well outdoors.  These gloves feature their GORE Active technology meaning that they are waterproof, windproof, and breathable, making them the perfect choice for me in the months to come.

The Elkstone gloves are made using a tough, water-resistant nylon canvas outer, featuring real leather and abrasion-resistant microfibre paneling and they are fitted with a brushed polyester lining which makes them so warm!  I’m loving them already and just know that they’ll see me through the colder winter months with ease.  They also have a stretch rib inner cuff for added comfort. The blurb for these gloves does state that they are touchscreen compatible but I haven’t been able to work my iPhone 12 whilst wearing them, but that’s not a big issue for me really.

So far, I’ve made good use of my Trekmates Elkstone gloves at our local fireworks display keeping my hands toasty warm all evening and they’ve joined me on daytime walking adventures too.  A couple of minutes after this photo was taken recently, it absolutely hammered down with rain.  Thankfully I was prepared and when we finally got back to the car my hands were warm and dry thanks to my new gloves.  Now I just need to reevaluate my choice of walking trousers!  But that’s a whole other story.

I know that I’ll be preparing for winter adventures with Trekmates Elkstone gloves near and far, and to know that I will actually have warm hands from start to finish is such a relief.
