Ready for all weathers with Lighthouse – AD sent for review
disclosure: the items mentioned were sent for the purpose review

We seem to have had an actual summer this year, admittedly with temperatures that at some times have been a tad too hot even for me.  But it hasn’t meant that we’ve had to avoid showers at times and I’ve been ready for all weathers with Lighthouse and have really made use of their range of comfortable fitting, practical clothing.

It will come as no surprise to regular readers of the blog that blue features heavily in the items of clothing I recently selected from Lighthouse!! You all know me so well, but I have splashed out with a bit of a pattern and some stripes.

I love all of the colours in the Causeway short sleeve tee, so knew I could wear it with jeans or cropped trousers and would be able to wear it all summer long. The top has a slight turnover on the sleeve hem and a contrasting solid colour neckline and it’s fast become one of my favourite tops to wear. From days out in London to National Trust adventures and just enjoying time in the garden, this top has been everywhere with me.

For cooler days the Ariana Top with Midnight Stripe is perfect, and it’s the kind of top I can see myself wearing from Spring through to Autumn as it’s so versatile. I love three-quarter-length sleeves and a scooped V-neck and I will definitely be ready for all weathers with Lighthouse and this particular top. Whether I’ve been on safari at the zoo or watching traction engineers from a bygone age, this top is so versatile.

Both tops are a size 10, and so comfortable to wear and very ‘me’ I think.  They also wash well and have held their shape and I’ve been impressed with the quality of each item.

I do own a Lighthouse Long Iona coat in Raspberry (I know, not blue!) that I bought earlier in the year and it’s wonderful, it’s padded, waterproof and just perfect for winter adventures, so I was really looking forward to adding a lighter weight jacket to my wardrobe to get me through the changeable Spring and Summer months.  I picked the Beachcomber Jacket in Sea Blue and you’ll be seeing me wearing this a lot in months to come.

As you all know, this is my absolute favourite shade of blue and it really is the perfect colour to see me through Spring, Summer and early Autumn.  I love it.  On a practical level, this jacket from Lighthouse works brilliantly too. It’s waterproof, windproof and has a Breton striped lining to both the main jacket and the concealable hood.

The hood itself is adjustable with the pull string and folds away inside the colour and is then held in place by three velcro fastening strips. There are two front pockets with popper fastenings and an inner zipped pocket which I find ideal to hold my iPhone. The cuffs are also adjustable with velcro straps.  The jacket came into its own a couple of weekends ago when we were at a large country fair and we had all seasons in one day.  It was lightweight enough to tie around my waist when the sun appeared and saved me from getting drenched when the heavens opened!  You can’t ask for much more and it proved that I was ready for all weathers with Lighthouse.

Lighthouse also have a range of clothing for men and children between the ages of 1-10 years of age, and I wish I’d discovered the brand when my son was younger, as I love seeing kids in bright colours.

Over 40 and a Mum to One

A Mum with a 13 year old son, enjoying life and having fun as my son travels through school life. We love to get outdoors whenever possible and make the most of the world around us. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure.
