We thought our mission as Eco Friendly Toy Testers was over but we have another 3 assignments to share with you. Let me introduce you to the Sandwich Shop from Green Toys.
The Sandwich Shop is a set aimed at children aged 2 years and over, and as with all of the Green Toys products, it’s made of recycled plastic milk cartons. There are no nasties in the plastic and the parts are really robust. This play set is going to last for ages.
There’s also no unnecessary packaging, making it easy for children to get straight down to the serious business of making lunch!
The set comes with a pack of order forms for older children to use to make note of your requirements. The great thing with this is you can download new forms when you run out – genius idea.
The details as with all Green Toys products are lovely, Monkey’s had great fun recognising all the different fillings and learning about pickles!
Monkey got the idea of Sandwich Shop immediately, stack your filling on top of each other inside either a burger bun or a sandwich and serve!
There are no right or wrong combinations, it’s all about imagination, having fun and learning that if you over fill your bun it may be rather tricky to manage!
It wasn’t long before Monkey got his makeshift kitchen hob and Chef Set out, to cook his burgers, and add to the fun.
This set has kept him entertained over the last few weeks, he can play with it by itself or use it with other play food to have a picnic. It’s a bit different and he really likes it.
Just occasionally I get offered something too! Priced at £15.99 I think this is another winner from Green Toys. It can also be added to other play food sets in their range too like Pizza Parlour, which also has stackable food.
Watch this space next month for our next Eco Friendly Toy Tester review – it might just be transport related!

Over 40 and a Mum to One
A Mum with a 13 year old son, enjoying life and having fun as my son travels through school life. We love to get outdoors whenever possible and make the most of the world around us. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.
That looks great! It would be a perfect addition to my daughter’s ‘kitchen’!
N would love that. He loves making meals with the cooker and play food over at the farm.
what a lovely game! That is great toy!
I like the fact the pieces slot together. We had toy food like this when 7yo was younger and it was all flat pieces so slid about everywhere when we tried to construct a burger for example.
This looks like great fun! My four year old is rather obsessed with making sandwiches whether it be to eat, out of crafty supplies or out of toys so I think she will love it! I love the idea of the order forms to add an extra element of play as they get older!
I love this – would go really well with our toy kitchen! Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested
This looks like a lot of fun! We have something similar but it doesn’t slot together so well x
That looks gorgeous, and a whole lot of fun. I love toys like this that are built to last.

I like the idea of food toys-it’s so much less mess than when they play with the real stuff! x
oh I love the look of this! Mine love role play and pretend cooking and food is their favourite of all. Thanks for sharing 🙂 x x
I really like the way the items stack together – my son loves it.
What a gorgeous set! This would make a lovely addition to the kitchen we’re hoping to have in our new playroom.
Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested this week x
