Telling the time with EasyRead Time Teacher

Telling the time with EasyRead Time Teacher – review and giveaway

As you all know, my son turned nine at the beginning of the week and I’m keen for him to start wearing a watch regularly.  I wanted him to have a watch with a traditional style face, rather than a digital watch.  He’s been trying to get to grips with the 24 hour clock and I’ve discovered the perfect watch for him.  We’ll be telling the time with EasyRead Time Teacher, using their Red and Blue face 24 hour wrist watch.

Telling the time with EasyRead Time Teacher

EasyRead Time Teacher have a range of clocks and watches to help children learn to tell the time, they also have a great range of classroom resources for those of you working in an educational environment.  When I looked at the range of watches that they supply I knew the 24 hour option was just what we needed.  He’s cracked to and past the hour, but as soon as someone talks about 18:52pm he’s still a little lost.

Telling the time with EasyRead Time Teacher

My son loves everything red, he’d opted for the Red & Blue Face 24 hour wrist watch with comes with a navy strap as standard.  EasyRead Time Teacher have a range of different coloured straps you can order as well, so obviously we picked the red strap as an optional extra.  The nylon straps are really easy to change and he’s now got a spare, that also goes with the watch face, that he can wear if he so chooses. If you’ve got a muck magnet like my son, then it’s also worth knowing that as well as being breathable, these straps are washable. You might also want to know that the straps are 15 mm wide and 21.5 cm long.  They fit wrists from 12 cm – 18 cm circumference, so basically from a small child to a medium adult.  I can wear this watch as easily as my son.

The watch face is a genius idea in my opinion.  It makes it so clear for children to be able to understand the 24 hour clock.

Telling the time with EasyRead Time Teacher

My son has really progressed with telling the time with EasyRead Time Teacher since wearing this watch.  The watch face has made it so much easier for him to understand.  It’s a real step forward for him, he looks at wear the long hand is pointing and that’s him sorted.

The watches are aimed at children aged five to twelve years of age, and what I really love about this watch is that my son can read it just as well if he wants to use the 12 or 24 hour clock.  It’s really perfect for him.
