Monkey discovered Lego at Christmas thanks to his Uncle P and Auntie J. He loves it, he’ll still play with his Duplo, but you can see his imagination is going to run away with the possibilities that Lego offers. I often look online with Tesco Direct at their toys and games, you can get some great offers. So it was no surprise to me when Tesco Direct comes to our rescue again! They sent us Lego City 60013 Coast Guard Air Sea Rescue Helicopter. I knew it would be an instant hit.
Now I know the box says age 5-12. Monkey is 4 years old, I did need to put the Rescue Helicopter and Catamaran together for him, but he loves Lego, he is more than ready to play with this set. We don’t have the younger sibling issue to worry about either. The set did take my just over an hour to put together.
But it’s been a massive hit. The winch rewinds when you press a button, the wheels work as you would expect a proper helicopter to work. The pilot can sit in the cockpit. I personally, am totally in love with our Lego Diver!
So Tesco Direct comes to our rescue and Monkey has had a great time with his new Lego set. Everyone is happy!

I don’t think you are ever too young (or old!) to enjoy LEGO. Looks like a great set!
I totally agree – it’s timeless isn’t it
What a great set, love the little diver and the shark is fab!
Great isn’t it, it will be well loved here for sure
Lego is a classic toy that is great for all ages. I love it myself.
Isn’t it just, I could play with it for hours myself
We love lego, and one of the boys first sets was the sea recue, he still loves it as it has a winch! I love the little wind surfer I think he is my favourite!
Lego is AMAZING and this set looks fab! I know what you mean about delivery charges, I do love the click and collect!
I will build lego any day of the week
We’re just starting our Lego journey too and it’s fantastic to see Bud interested in playing with it and learning to put bricks together.
Isn’t it, I really thought we were a year away from Lego, but Monkey proved me wrong
It is a great little set. I’ve never known Lego to be called an ‘exclusive insight’ before? SEO gone mad….
I know – aargh, great set though and I do use Tesco Direct a lot, so it was lovely of them to give us something to review.
it is a great set! my son will love it!
We did this for some of H’s Christmas presents. Was quite convenient to pick it up from the little store near us at a time that suited.
