Thomas & Friends celebrate 70 years of entertaining children this year. Whilst I grew up with the original books, Monkey is of the generation who enjoys watching the action on the television too. We’ve been having a great time catching up with a couple of new DVD’s and the first I have to share with you is Thomas & Friends Trouble on the Tracks.
Thomas & Friends Trouble on the Tracks DVD was released last week and it’s been playing on repeat here ever since it popped through our letterbox.
This new DVD runs for 70 minutes and 7 different Thomas & Friends episodes:
Thomas the Quarry Engine
Not so Slow Coaches
Flatbeds of Fear
Disappearing Diesels
Toad’s Adventure
Duck and the Slip Coaches
Missing Gator
Along with the episodes there are extra features including The Fat Controller introducing some of the Really Useful Engines. You can even load the DVD into your laptop to download a Really Useful Certificate.
Gator has become a firm favourite with Monkey since we first watched Tale of the Brave. The Missing Gator episode on the Thomas & Friends Trouble on the Tracks DVD has been well watched and has a great story about friendship behind it. Monkey always misses his friends when he doesn’t see them very often, and he could really relate with how Percy was feeling about missing Gator.
Any Thomas fan is going to enjoy Thomas & Friends Trouble on the Tracks, it certainly gets a big thumbs up from a 5 year old Monkey.
Priced at £ 9.00 Thomas & Friends Trouble on the Tracks is available from ASDA , Sainsburys, Morrison’s, HMV and Amazon – you can see my Affiliate link for Amazon below.
