My son might be eight now but he’s still very much a lover of all things dinosaur related. From books to films, he’s always spouting facts and figures relating to these long extinct animals. With a world of dinosaurs from Schleich he’s often to be found having new adventures in a land that time forgot.
His latest additions to his dinosaur ranks have recently been released from Schleich and are aimed at children aged 5 years and over. As we’ve come to expect from this range, the animal figures show a great attention to detail and are made to withstand all sorts of prehistoric dramas.
A world of dinosaurs from Schleich now includes this rather marvellous Velociraptor which comes with a moveable lower jaw and arms. A big bonus I’ve been told.
He’s certainly been fighting a lot since his arrival and there has been much evidence of dinosaur roaring going on.
The Oviraptor is a much quieter fellow, by all accounts, but no less splendid in his appearance. The feathered details have gone down very well with my son.
Living over 75 million years ago, the Oviraptor lived at the same time as the Velociraptor. I bet they never thought they’d meet up again in the 21st century.
Last but not least in a world of dinosaurs from Schleich, is the Tawa who lived long before the others, going back to 215 million years ago.
Both my son and I have been fascinated to learn that this carnivore actually had hollow bones which helped him being really fast on his feet.

Over 40 and a Mum to One
A Mum with a 13 year old son, enjoying life and having fun as my son travels through school life. We love to get outdoors whenever possible and make the most of the world around us. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.
